Online sign-up for our 2011 CSF spring season has now started. Spring shares will be delivered starting Thursday, April 7th, for ten weeks. The last pick-up day will be June 9th. Please click on the following links for more information:

CSF stands for community supported fishery. Core Sound Seafood is a small business that offers CSF “shares,” which are weekly and bi-weekly deliveries of North Carolina seafood, most all of which comes off the coast of Carteret County. It is similar to the community supported agriculture (CSA) model, but instead of shares of produce, you get shares of fresh, local seafood.

By becoming a CSF shareholder, you are directly supporting the Downeast fishermen by paying a fair price for the fishermen’s catch. You will also receive a weekly email that details who caught your fish and how, stories from the coast and policy issues related to the small commercial fishing industry.
